In the tearoom of the museum, enjoy the visual performance of tea making and partake in the seasonal sweets and flavor of fresh tea to truly understand this celebrated Japanese ceremony. First, an explanation will be given regarding tea utensils, tea ceremony history, and ceremony standards according to the Urasenke school of tea ceremony. At the conclusion of the ceremony, enjoy fresh tea made for you by the tea expert and feel free to engage in conversation while gazing at the beautiful Higashiyama scenery. Even those with very little understanding of tea can enjoy this very celebrated aspect of tea culture. * Please wear socks for this ceremony. 細見美術館の茶室では、お手前のパフォーマンスを観賞しながら、季節の生菓子で薄茶を味わい、日本文化にふれる「茶道体験」ができる。お作法は裏千家のスタイルに則り、まずは茶道具や茶道の歴史、お茶のいただき方などの説明をしてもらえる。先生の点前によるお茶をいただいた後は、東山の景色を眺めながら先生や参加者同士での会話を楽しんだり、自分でお茶を点てたりもできる。 茶道のルールを知らなくても気軽に日本のお茶の文化を体感できるはず。 ※体験時は靴下を履いた方がいい |
